1. Who we are
UtilityBillParse is operated by Proziod Analytics Pvt Ltd ("Proziod", "we", "us"). Proziod is the data controller for personal data processed in connection with the UtilityBillParse service.
2. Personal data we collect
- Account data: name, email address, password hash, workspace and team membership.
- Customer content: utility bills and related documents you or your team upload for parsing, and the structured data we extract from them.
- Usage and telemetry: API requests, parsing jobs, error logs, device and browser information, IP address, and approximate location.
- Support data: messages you send us through contact forms or email.
- Billing data: handled by Paddle (see "Sharing" below). We receive limited billing metadata such as plan, status, and the last four digits of the payment method.
3. How we use personal data
- Provide and operate the service, including parsing bills and returning structured data.
- Authenticate users and secure accounts.
- Process subscriptions, credits and invoices via Paddle.
- Provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
- Monitor performance, detect abuse and prevent fraud.
- Improve the service, including model and template quality.
- Send service announcements and, with consent where required, marketing communications.
- Comply with legal obligations.
4. Legal bases
We rely on the following legal bases under the GDPR and equivalent laws:
- Performance of a contract – to provide the service to you or your organization.
- Legitimate interests – to secure, improve and promote the service, where not overridden by your rights.
- Consent – for optional cookies and marketing where required.
- Legal obligation – for tax, accounting and compliance.
5. Sharing
We share personal data with:
- Paddle.com Market Limited – our Merchant of Record. Paddle processes payments, manages subscriptions, calculates and remits taxes, issues invoices, and handles refund requests. See Paddle's Buyer Terms and Privacy Notice at paddle.com/legal.
- Cloud and infrastructure providers – hosting, database, storage, email delivery and error monitoring providers acting as our processors under contract.
- Professional advisers – legal, accounting and audit advisers under confidentiality.
- Authorities – where required by law or to protect rights, safety and security.
6. International transfers
Personal data may be transferred outside your country, including to the United States, the United Kingdom, the EEA and India. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
7. Retention
We retain account and billing data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, tax and audit obligations. Uploaded bills and parsed outputs follow the retention configured in your workspace and are deleted or anonymized when no longer needed.
8. Your rights
Subject to local law, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. 9. Security
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls, audit logging and least-privilege practices, to protect personal data.
